PURPOSE: Provided is a method of marking a shape such as a character on a metal case to solve such a problem that, in case of marking a shape on a body portion of a bottle-shaped case, it is difficult to maintain the shape because the body portion is already considerably in the imprinted state; and to mark the shape in a neck portion, that is, a shoulder portion, rather than the body portion. CONSTITUTION: The method of marking a shape such as a character on a metal case comprises a step of marking a shape(10) on a shoulder portion of a metal case(1) in a bottle shape. The shape(10) is a character, a logo or a letter. The shape is manufactured by selecting any one of an air-pressure process, a hydraulic-pressure process or a press process. After separately manufactured, the shape is combined(attached or adhered). The case(1) consists of two or more pieces.
