<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein an electronic document file is extended once to change a content and is compressed again thereafter in a conventional art, when changing the content of a compressed archive file compressed and stored with the plurality of electronic document files, and wherein a processing time is increased to increase also a necessary memory area, when a size of the archive file gets large. <P>SOLUTION: The compressed archive file which is compressed and stored with a plurality of electronic documents is split into a plurality of compressed archival files without extending it, and a new archive file is reconstituted, using the split compressed archive files. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
