<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the manufacturing cost of an automatic opening/closing device for a vehicle, and to reduce the weight of the automatic opening/closing device for a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A sliding mechanism for a power back door mechanism has a rail bracket and an outer rack 43. The outer rack 43 has a rack member 67 on which a rack gear 71 is formed, and three sliding members 68 which are fitted on the rail bracket in a manner to be freely reciprocative. The rack member 67 is formed into a shape with an L-shaped cross section having a bent part 73 which bends in the axial direction by bending, after stamping a steel plate. The sliding members 68 are respectively formed into a shape with an approximate C-shaped cross section, of which the length dimension is sufficiently shorter than the rack member 67 by extruding an aluminum material. Then, the three sliding members 68 are respectively fixed to the rack member 67 in the axial direction with a specified interval by a screw member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
