BATTERY PACK AND ELECTRONIC APPARATUS USING NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE SECONDARY BATTERY AS POWER SUPPLY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery pack capable of absorbing heat generated inside an electrode body in overcharging outside the battery and keeping the temperature inside the electrode body lower than the thermal stability limit of a positive electrode.

SOLUTION: The battery pack of this invention comprises a battery housing chamber 31 inside a cabinet 2. A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery element covered with an outer package 51 is housed in the battery housing chamber 31 so that power generated by the battery element can be led to the outside. A heat absorption layer 7 is provided between the inner peripheral wall of the battery housing chamber 31 and the outer package 51. The heat absorption layer 7 exhibits a heat absorbing effect during a period in which heat generation of the positive electrode upon overcharging shifts from the one resulting from Joule heat to the one resulting from a chemical reaction of the positive electrode itself.
