<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser welding machine and method that make highly reliable and high-quality welding possible while suppressing deformation and cracks of a welding member. <P>SOLUTION: The machine is provided with a laser irradiation means that emits at least two laser beams of different characteristics to a weld zone of a welding member and a controller that controls the laser beam output by controlling the operation of the laser irradiation means. The two laser beams are those by continuously oscillated laser, with the controller controlling the two in the manner that one is outputted constantly at or above a prescribed set value which is not zero and that the other is outputted intermittently. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
