摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a factor giving a sense of discomfort to a user on a display section of a map display device by focusing attention on contraction scale setting information. SOLUTION: The map display device has a map information storage part 11 consisting of a map data storage area 14 and a map data management area 15 storing a map data management information and contraction scale setting information indicating the presence or absence of contraction scale, and a display processing part 12 for displaying a scale bar 42 on a display section 13. In the management area 15, the contraction scale is made to exist in the contraction scale setting information so as to display a map district in which corresponding map data do not exist by replacing it with pseudo map data.
