PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a congestion information guiding apparatus for appropriately and timely guiding congestion information at a desired point, a road, or the like, without requiring any complex operation. SOLUTION: A navigation apparatus sets and registers an intersection for guiding congestion information regardless of a route interactively with a user, determines which of smooth→crowded and crowded→congested is used to guide the congestion information , determines the threshold of the length of the congestion to be guided, and guides congestion information when actual congestion changes from "smooth" to "crowded" or from "crowded" to "congestion", or when the threshold of the length of congestion is exceeded.
