PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fax server enabling a fax recipient to easily receive fax data addressed to himself/herself anytime and anywhere at the time of finding facsimile at a remote location. SOLUTION: In the fax server, a control part 12 is provided with functions of storing received fax data and fax recipient identification information in a data storage part 11 at the time of receiving a fax data keeping request, the fax data and the fax recipient identification information from a fax transmission origin by a data reception part 14, authenticating the fax recipient at the time of receiving a keeping fax data withdrawal request, fax recipient authentication information and a transmission destination fax number by the data reception part 14 further and transmitting the pertinent fax data to the facsimile of the transmission destination fax number by a data transmission part 13 in the case of a success.
