PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking mechanism of a plug capable of pulling off a plug from a receptacle in a natural operation without imposing a burden on a contact. SOLUTION: Contacts 2 are arrayed in a plug housing 1 in a dual in-line shape, and a plug shutter 3 is packaged inside the plug housing 1 in free sliding with lever parts 3A, 3B in a state extended from the plug housing 1. When the lever parts 3A, 3B are moved toward a direction away from the receptacle 9, that is, in parallel with an insertion and removal direction of the plug, convex parts 3E, 3F formed inside the plug shutter 3 move hooking parts 73A, 73B formed at the tips of locking arms 7A, 7B so as to make them nearer to each other, which can release a locking state of the hooking parts 73A, 73B to the receptacle 9.
