COLOR SEPARATION OPTICAL SYSTEM FOR TELEVISION CAMERA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a color separation optical system for TV camera to be mounted on a compact C mount camera by constituting the color separation optical system of a first prism for separating a part of three color light beams and a second prism for transmitting the other color light and using two 2/3 in. CCDs and setting a relative angle of optical axes of exit light of respective prisms to a prescribed angle and to acquire images superior in resolution and color reproducibility. SOLUTION: When two 2/3 in. CCDs are mounted on the C mount camera, the color separation optical system for TV camera is so constituted that a relative angleθformed by an optical axis Z1 of exit light of a first prism 31 and an optical acid Z of exit light of a second prism 32 is a prescribed angle in the range given by 56°≥θ≥60°. Thus positional interference doesn't occur among two CCD assemblies 16 and 17 and a camera front surface panel 14. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
