PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cockpit module assembling device for assembling a cockpit module in a dash lower panel only by moving the cockpit module horizontally. SOLUTION: In the assembling device 1 for the cockpit module 2, a steering member is assembled in an instrument panel in advance. The assembling device 1 has a temporary holding mechanism provided at both of two ends of the cockpit module 2, and a locating pin 19 facing the temporary holding mechanism and provided at the vehicle body side. The temporary holding mechanism has a stationary bracket 20 fixed to the cockpit module 2, a movable bracket 21 forming an opening between which and the stationary bracket 20 and movable with respect to the stationary bracket 20, and a moving member for moving the movable bracket 20 in assembling the cockpit module 2. When the moving member relatively moves the movable bracket 21 with respect to the stationary bracket 20, the opening is closed so that both of the brackets 20 and 21 hold the locating pin 19 to temporarily hold the cockpit module 2 on the vehicle body.
