PREPARATION OF MASK FOR MANUFACTURING PRINTING PLATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the process of preparation of a mask for manufacturing a printing plate 1 in particular, and also to improve the quality of the printing plate 1 produced by using the mask. SOLUTION: Laser induced thermal transfer is used. The structure information 5c on the mask is applied directly onto the surface of the substrate of the printing plate by using a thermal transfer film 5 and a laser image-setting unit 6. As a result, the differentiation with regard to image points and non-image points is directly carried out for manufacturing the printing plate 1 according to the structure information 5c applied.
