PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry draw-ironed can manufacturing method for efficiently manufacturing a can in which deposition of metal powder caused during the drawing and ironing is suppressed, and further, prevented under a dry environment. SOLUTION: The draw-ironed can manufacturing method has a draw-ironing step in which a work plate 13 to be worked is penetrated into through holes 28-31 and passed therethrough by a punch 32 to manufacture a draw-ironed can body 10 under a dry environment using dies 23-26 having the through holes 28-31 and the punch 32 to be passed through the through holes 28-31 with a small clearance therebetween. Deposits on inner circumferential portions 34-37 of the through holes 28-31 are removed by wiping means 39 and 40 provided on the punch 32. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
