METHOD AND DEVICE FOR STRAIGHTENING SLENDER SHEET-SHAPED MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a straightening method and a straightening device of a slender sheet-shaped material by which slight bend is accurately straightened and the amount of straightening is adjustable. SOLUTION: (a) The slender sheet-shaped material is made to travel along a prescribed route while imparting a prescribed tension to the slender sheet-shaped material. (b) The material is passed through straightening rollers having a taper-shaped swelled part on one side which are arranged on the traveling route. (c) By making one edge part of the slender sheet-shaped material travel the taper-shaped swelled parts of the straightening rollers, the bend which is deformed in the right and left directions in the longitudinal direction on the sheet plane of the slender sheet-shaped material is straightened.
