PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt-like extruding object staying method and a device for improving dimensional stability of a suspended-stayed belt-like extruding object. SOLUTION: A freely deformable belt-like extruding object support 1 for supporting an under surface of the belt-like extruding object X is suspended between front-rear conveyors A and B, and a suspension state of the belt-like extruding object support 1 can be changed. When suspending the belt-like extruding object X, while supporting the under surface of the belt-like extruding object X by the belt-like extruding object support 1, the belt-like extruding object X is stayed while adjusting the suspension state of the belt-like extruding object support 1 so that a distance between the lowest end X1 of the suspended belt-like extruding object X and the belt-like extruding object support 1 becomes constant.
