The pipe system (6) for the transporting of high-melt lubricants has an outflow device (9) for the empting of the system provided between a feed point (6a) and delivery point (6b) and located below both points. The outflow device has a manually and/or automatically operated valve (11) which is kept closed in the flow state of the pipe system. The outflow device has a siphon (10), and the outflow device can be heated. At least one pump (5) is provided for the transporting of the lubricant and/or for the emptying of the pipe system. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) an application system for high melt lubricants with an application device (8); and (b) a method for the protection of at least one partially heated application system.
