<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver, a video signal detection control apparatus, and a video signal detection control method capable of stably detecting a video signal in an external mode. <P>SOLUTION: Input of a horizontal synchronizing signal outputted from a chroma IC 14 to a microcomputer 15 is interrupted on the basis of circuit control of a signal control circuit 30 in the external mode and a heater winding signal outputted from a flyback transformer 18 and whose level is ordinarily controlled at an H level is given to the microcomputer 15. Then the microcomputer 15 can carry out SD discrimination on the basis of the heater winding signal to stably apply an SD signal to the chroma IC 14. Since the chroma IC 14 can fix a reference oscillated frequency to a color burst signal frequency of 3.58 MHz at all times in the external mode thereby, color missing can be prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
