PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jet mixing method for constructing a pile with a desired diameter by accelerating hardening of a soil hardening material, and preventing the outflow of the soil hardening material. SOLUTION: In this jet mixing method, a multiple pipe rod is fed forward in the ground and then pulled up from the inside of the ground while being rotated, and a soil improving medium mainly composed of cement is jetted into the ground at high pressure from a jet nozzle provided at the multiple pipe rod to agitate the soil and to construct the pile with a prescribed diameter to thereby improve the soil. Jet parts 2, 3 provided with nozzles respectively are provided in upper and lower positions at the lower end of the multiple pipe rod 1. Within a prescribed construction length, the soil improving medium is jetted together with air from the jet part 2 on the upper stage side to construct the pile with the prescribed diameter, and a reaction material with cement milk hardening property is jetted from the jet part 3 on the lower stage side toward the soil improving medium.
