PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roof material having a design, a waterproof function, a heat insulation function, a dew proofing function, etc. SOLUTION: In a metallic roof material B in which a male-female connecting structure of a hooking structure is formed at the breadthwise side end edge, a backing material C formed on the rear face is fitted so as to insert in the downstream side insertion edge 7 of the metallic roof material B and a hooking groove 13a opened in the upward direction of the upstream side to integrally unite the metallic roof material B and the backing material C together to become a roof material A formed with a recessed groove 22 at the rear face of the backing material C.
