PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shin guard which a player uses in the state of holding it inside socks mainly in a soccer game. SOLUTION: The shin guard consists of: a substrate consisting of hard synthetic resin material which has a thickness for obtaining necessary strength and rigidity; and a stereoscopic knitted fabric shock absorbing material stuck directly to the inner surface of the substrate. The substrate has vent holes which have necessary shapes and are arrayed. As for the stereoscopic knitted fabric shock absorbing material, one side face is knitted to be a front face mesh part and the other side face is knitted to be a rear face mesh part. The front face mesh part and the rear face mesh part are made to correspond to each other in parallel at a necessary interval, and an erected single yarn with necessary elasticity is bridging the knitted fabric with a necessary density. The front face mesh part on one side face and the rear face mesh part on the other side face are supported in a separated state with necessary elasticity by the erected single yarn, and the connecting face of the front face mesh part and the rear face mesh part is stuck and integrated with a necessary means.
