A key pad for incorporating into control panel of household appliance comprises key caps (2), whose rear side is coupled to actuating element, on pushing from rest to switching position, thus to engage appliance electronic system. Spring element (5) affects actuating element, at least indirectly, to provide resetting force on actuating key cap. Resetting force moves actuating element and cap into rest position for release of engagement of electronic system. Spring element has spring arms (61) in specified arrangements.
