PURPOSE: A frequency band conversion repeater and a conversion method thereof are provided to configure the first local frequency through a single PLL while performing a downlink conversion or an uplink conversion of a frequency band using an OCXO(Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator), to suppress frequency errors and phase noise to the maximum, thereby maintaining a stable data rate. CONSTITUTION: A DU(Donor Unit)(200) forms the first local frequency by using a PLL for a signal received from a base station(400), converts the first local frequency into an IF in consideration of differences between a frequency band of the received signal and an idle frequency band, and converts the IF into an idle frequency band signal by using the formed first local frequency to deliver the converted signal. An RU(Remote Unit)(300) forms the second local frequency by using the PLL according to the delivered idle frequency band, converts the second local frequency into an IF, and converts the second local frequency into a frequency band of the received signal to deliver the signal to a mobile station(500). |
