PURPOSE: An embedded board for an intrusion detection system and the intrusion detection system including the same are provided to largely improve a processing speed and entire performance by using the embedded board instead of software process. CONSTITUTION: A receiving interface(132) receives a packet from an internal/external network(100). A processor(136) processes the received packet by performing the first function. A PCI(Peripheral Component Interconnect) bus interface(150) transmits the processed packet to a host computer(120) performing the second function. The first function includes one or more function from a packet forwarding function, an interrupt controlling function, a real-time blocking function, a traffic statistics function, and a script virus blocking function. The second function includes one or more function from an intrusion detection/analysis function, a login function, and a system managing function.
