APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TREATMENT OF PLATING RINSE WATER

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for treatment of plating rinse water are provided to economically and efficiently recover valuable metals in the plating rinse water by using ion exchange resin and to recycle the secondary acid wastewater in the plating process by recovering secondary acid wastewater through reverse osmosis system. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a pretreatment unit(3) for removing plating additives contained in the plating rinse water supplied from a plating rinse water storage tank(5); an ion exchange unit for converting nickel ions contained in the pretreated plating rinse water into nickel salt; a recovery unit(8) for recovering plating rinse water that is acid retarded in the ion exchange unit; a reverse osmosis system(4) for treating acid wastewater discharged from the ion exchange unit; and a distilled water supply unit(15) for regenerating an ion exchange resin column of the ion exchange unit, wherein pretreatment filter(3a), intermediate filter(3b) and carbon filter(3c) are arranged in series in the pretreatment unit to obtain multistep filtering efficiency, wherein the ion exchange unit comprises a nickel recovery unit(1), a sulfuric acid concentration unit(14) and an acid retardation unit(2), and wherein an acid wastewater treatment tank(9) and a pump(10c) are installed in rear of the nickel recovery unit.
