<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgical treatment appliance capable of being operated while sensing the external force applied to a treatment part by fingers when the treatment part is operated by hand and having excellent operability for certainly operating the treatment part against the external force to accurately perform desired manipulation. <P>SOLUTION: A treatment unit 5 of the surgical treatment appliance 1 is constituted of treatment pieces 21 and 22, a treatment bases 23 connected to the base end parts of the treatment pieces 21 and 22, a leading end cover 24 arranged on an insertion pipe 31, a treatment part operation rod 51 formed of a rigid member being a first shaft and a treatment part base operation rod 52 formed of the rigid member being a second shaft.
