PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio system by which the sound volume can be automatically adjusted by reducing the difference in sound volume output level between sources by referring to the record of the sound volume control by the user at the time of switching the sources. SOLUTION: The audio system includes a source input part to which several audio media sources are connected, a source switching part by which an arbitrary source can be selected from the several sources, a speaker which outputs the sound according to the sound signal of the source selected by the source switching part, a sound volume adjusting part for adjusting the sound volume outputted from the speaker, a gain setting part which is disposed upstream the speaker and sets a corrected gain with respect to the sound signal from the source selected by the source switching part, and a control unit which calculates the gain to be set by the gain setting part according to the operation record of the sound volume control and supplies it to the gain setting part.
