PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a freeze-dried biomatrix free from preservatives, crosslinking agents and perfumes similarly to collagen-sponge, having skin moistening effect without irritating the skin, mainly comprising polysaccharides which are nonanimal materials, at the same time, suitable for carrier materials of the active substances of medicines and cosmetics. SOLUTION: This freeze-dried biomatrix comprises natural polysaccharides or denatured polysaccharides as the base, and used for external and transdermal administration of active substances of medicines and cosmetics.
