PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a producing apparatus and a producing method with which the structure of a solid-liquid metallic slurry can be controlled at high accuracy. SOLUTION: In the producing apparatus for solid-liquid metallic slurry provided with a holding vessel for holding molten metal and a rotary cooling cylinder for generating solid crystals in the molten metal by cooling and stirring the molten metal held in the holding vessel, the rotary cooling cylinder has a generating means for generating the solid crystal nuclei on its outer surface. This producing method for solid-liquid metallic slurry, is composed of a supplying process for supplying the molten metal into the holding vessel, a crystal nuclei generating process for transforming the molten metal into the slurry by cooling the molten metal and generating the solid crystal nuclei, a solid ratio adjusting process for adjusting the solid ratio of the slurry, a slurry uniformizing process for uniformizing the composition of the slurry and the distribution of the solid phase and an exhausting process for exhausting the uniformized slurry from the holding vessel.
