<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stent having an improved blood vessel covering property which can prevent a plaque or the tissue from escaping from the blood vessel. <P>SOLUTION: A substantially cylindrical stent (100b) with lattices has a first open end (102) and a second open end (104). The lattices take either a collapsed morphology or an expanded configuration and have a plurality of neighboring hoops (106a-106d). Each of the hoops has a plurality of neighboring loops (110), and the neighboring hoops are connected by a plurality of bridges (114b).
