<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network band control method and system capable of conducting band control for a passage section easily and distributing contents such as video image streams with high quality, by acquiring route information and computing the passage section spread over domains under a small network load in an IP network equipped with a plurality domains interconnected by IX (Internet Exchange). <P>SOLUTION: Root reflectors 220-1 to 220-n and 320-1 to 320-n receive route information for domains 200-1 to 200-n and 300-1 to n from a router. Band control servers 230-1 to 230-n and 330-1 to 330-n receive the route information from the root reflectors 220-1 to 220-n and 320-1 to 320-n, and compute passage sections for its domain domains 200-1 to 200-n and 300-1 to 300-n beforehand, and conduct band control for the passage section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
