PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the strength of a mounting stay base and a bearing retaining part by reinforcing the bottom of a rear bracket, and also to stabilize retention of a brush holder and rise in heat dissipation. SOLUTION: A rear bracket 5 is provided with a bearing 26 which supports a rotating shaft, and a brush holder 27 which holds a brush. A seat 44 is projected axially at a bottom part 45 of the rear bracket 5. The seat 44 is formed so as to surround the bearing 26. A brush installation board 47 is attached onto the seat 44, and the brush holder 27 made of a synthetic resin is fixed. The bottom face of the brush holder 27 makes contact with the upper surface of the seat 44 with substantially its entire surface.
