PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store and record a picture signal recorded to an arbitrary medium to a DVD or the like. SOLUTION: A title is displayed at an upper section on a screen. Below the title, "Turn on the power supply of external equipment and perform preparation for reproducing a picture." is displayed as an operation procedure. Additionally, followings are displayed as descriptions of setting items: "Input: The picture is captured into an HDD from a selected input source."; "Chapter: A chapter is created at a specific interval."; and "OFF timer: The power supply of a body is turned off after the lapse of specified time.". Furthermore, below the description of the setting items, item names and setting contents of "the input source, chapter, and OFF timer" of an actual setting item are displayed. Then, "Start reproducing equipment connected to this machine concurrently with decision." is displayed as the operation procedure and a "Decision" button is displayed.
