PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce damage at a center part of a flap assembly or a flap gasket in a compressor for refrigeration of a reciprocating piston type. SOLUTION: The flap assembly 18 comprises an upper flap 26, a lower flap 28, and a circular spacer 30 disposed between them at an outer circumferential part of the flaps. A center spacer 34 is additionally provided between the upper and the lower flaps roughly at a geometric center position of the assembly. The center spacer is fixed to a compressor body 12 by a bolt 68, and the flap gasket 20 is compressed.
