PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a halogen-containing resin composition that has both of improved heat resistance and improved thermal discoloration resistance by adding hydrotalcite and a calcium-containing hydroxide compounds in a specified ratio to a halogen-containing resin composition. SOLUTION: The halogen-containing resin composition comprises 100 pts.wt. of a halogen-containing resin, 0.01-10 pts.wt. of a calcium-containing hydroxide represented by general formula (1): Ca<SB>(1-x)</SB>M<SB>x</SB>(OH)<SB>2</SB>(where M is Mg or Al; x is 0.01 < x < 0.5), and hydrotalcite that is represented by general formula (2): M<SP>2+</SP><SB>(1-x)</SB>Al<SB>x</SB>(OH)<SB>2</SB>A<SP>n-</SP><SB>x/n</SB>-mH<SB>2</SB>O (where M<SP>2+</SP>is Mg and/or Zn; A<SP>n-</SP>is CO<SB>3</SB><SP>2-</SP>and/or ClO<SB>4</SB><SP>-</SP>and x is 0 < x < 0.5; m is 0≤m < 3).
