Parts, which are provided for the adjusting devices of motor vehicle seats and which can be welded to one another, are welded to one another by means of a resistance welding process. One part (1) comprises at least one circular shaping (1f; 1g), which protrudes from the surface (1h) of the part on the joining side, and which extends inside the complementary recess (2a; 2b) of the other part (2). The shaping (1f; 1g) can be pressed into the recess (2a; 2b) during the resistance welding process. At least one of the parts (1) comprises additional shapings (1a; 1b; 1c), which are laterally distant from the circular shaping (1f; 1g) and which limit the depth at which the circular shaping (1f; 1g) of component (1) is pressed into the recess (2a; 2b) of the other part (2). This results in the facing surfaces (1h; 2c) of both parts (1; 2) being held at a distance from one another. |
