<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find out a suitable substitute for albumin which is a stabilizer used in a neurotoxin-containing pharmaceutical composition and is pooled from animal-derived proteins or donors. <P>SOLUTION: A pharmaceutical composition contains a botulinus toxin, a sodium chloride solution or water, and a polysaccharide (for example, hydroxyethylated starch) and/or an amino acid, and does not contain the albumin derived from the blood, so that the pharmaceutical composition of the botulinus toxin is suitable for being administered to a human patient for the purpose of treating the patient. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
