<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique associated with an integrated image sensor for acquiring and processing image data. <P>SOLUTION: The integrated image sensor is provided with a photo-site array configured to convert light into an electric signal, an A/D converter configured to convert the electric signal into digital data, and a logic integrated with the image sensor and configured to scale a spatial resolution of the digital image data with an integral or non-integral scaling coefficient. Further, the present invention can also be conceptual as a method for acquiring and processing image data. The present method includes the steps of acquiring image data representing an image via the image sensor, applying spatial image resolution scaling to the image data via the image sensor with the integral or non-integral value, and sending resized image data from the integrated image sensor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
