PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide antenna where a radial size latch section longer than the outside diameter of an element is formed in the element around a through hole, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: An expansion tube 5 of a cylindrical shape is inserted from an opening at one side of an element 3 in a state that the element 3 is threaded into a boom 2. Protruded punches x, x are inserted from both ends of the element 3, and the punches x, x are press-fitted in the expansion tube 5 to extend and open the expansion tube 5. In turn, the element 3 around the expansion tube 5 is deformed towards outside in a rippled fashion. A size-large latch section 4 is formed around a pierced hole 8 by making the size of the deformed section longer than the diameter of the pierced hole 8 and arranging the deformed section close to the periphery of the through hole 8.
