PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate a system without lowering capacity even when communication error occurs by the disconnection of a communication line in any indoor unit. SOLUTION: One indoor unit 1 is connected to a plurality of indoor units 2A and 2B through a common first communication line 3. The indoor units 2A and 2B are classified into some groups, and the indoor unit 2A and 2B in each group are connected to each other through a second communication line 4 to form the system of the air conditioner. The outdoor unit 1 controls the indoor units 2A and 2B. When the indoor units 2A and 2B cause a communication error by the disconnection of the first communication line 3, the indoor unit 2A under communication error is controlled from the other indoor unit 2B in the group through the second communication line 4.
