PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite resin composition of inorganic oxide particles and a polycarbonate resin which is transparent, shows no reduction of total light transmittance, and has an improved rigidity, a reduced coefficient of thermal expansion and improved surface hardness. SOLUTION: The method for producing the composite resin composition is characterized in that, in the process of polymerizing a polycarbonate resin by the phosgene process, the composite resin composition of inorganic oxide particles and a polycarbonate resin is obtained by charging a solution in which a bisphenol, an alkali and surface-treated inorganic oxide particles are dispersed and mixed in an inactive solvent into the reaction system, mixing them, and then adding phosgene to the mixture.
