The invention relates to a method and a device for monitoring the entry zone (4) of vehicles (1), in particular rail vehicles. The image signals are processed in a signal analyser (5) that is provided in a data processing device. To carry out a motion analysis, the image signals of individual images, which are broken down into individual pixels, are added together for a specific time period and/or a specific number of images and the average value is calculated. An instant image is subtracted from this resultant, background image. In addition, a shadow analysis can be carried out. |
