摘要 The invention relates to a device and method for measuring the chemical composition and three-dimensional structure of chemical and biological samples, evaluating the measuring data and for subsequently representing it graphically. Suprisingly, it was ascertained counter to prior art that it is possible with the aid of the inventive optimized zone source to achieve dependency of the flying time or kinetic energy of ions in direction z upon the place of origin, said dependency being greater than the dependency of the flying times or kinetic energy of the initial energy distributions. As a result, it is possible, for the first time, to determine all three spatial directions (cartesian coordinates x, y and z). The inventive evaluation method also makes it possible to convert said local information into graphic representations.
