摘要 <p>An extracellular potential measuring device comprises a diaphragm having a first surface and a second surface opposed to the first surface and an electrode provided on the second surface of the diaphragm. The diaphragm has a recess having an opening portion open at the first surface and a through hole extending from the recess to the second surface. The through hole extends from a portion nearer to the opening portion than the deepest portion of the recess to the second surface. The electrode is provided around the opening portion of the through hole on the second surface. Even if subject cells do not reach the deepest portion of the recess, the cell membranes of the subject cells can come in close contact with the through hole with no gaps and with higher reliability. Therefore, the culture solution in the through hole is cut off from that on the top side of the diaphragm, and an electrochemical variation produced when a cell acts can be detected efficiently with a sensing electrode.</p>
