<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkaline zinc primary battery excellent in high-rate discharge while taking an inside out type structure excellent in productivity, capable of restraining capacity drop due to self-discharge in storage, and improved in a maintenance rate of discharge capacity. <P>SOLUTION: This sealed alkaline zinc primary battery is provided with a positive electrode mix containing at least nickel hydroxide-based compound particles and carbonaceous particles and formed into a hollow tubular shape; a negative electrode using an alloy mainly containing zinc; a separator; and an armoring can. The positive electrode mix is nickel oxyhydroxide obtained by carrying out eutectic reaction of manganese of 0.1-5 mass% at an element ratio with respect to nickel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
