<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To match the countenance of a user at the time of authentication with the preliminarily stored countenance of the face image of the user. <P>SOLUTION: This authentication apparatus for authenticating a user by using an image registered in a storage device includes an image pickup part for imaging a user and an authenticating part for authenticating the user by making the user perform a preliminarily decided operation, and comparing the image of the user imaged by the image pickup part when the user is performing the preliminarily decided operation with the image registered in the storage device. Also, the image pickup part photographs the moving image of the user, and the storage device supplies the moving image of the user who is performing the preliminarily decided operation to the authenticating part, and the authenticating part may authenticate the user by comparing the movement of the user in the moving image imaged by the image pickup part with the movement of the user in the moving image received from the storage device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
