STYRENE FOAM VOLUME REDUCTION APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a styrene foam volume reduction apparatus which easily and efficiently performs the separation of a volume-reduced styrene foam (gel) from a recyclable volume-reducing liquid and the recovery of the liquid.

SOLUTION: In this apparatus, a volume-reducing liquid 9 is held in a volume reduction tank 7, and a styrene foam 11 is charged into the tank 7 to reduce the volume of the foam 11, and giving a gel 10. The apparatus is equipped with a means that applies a suitable pressure to the gel 10 during its discharge and a means that efficiently separates the liquid 9 from the gel 10 and efficiently discharges the liquid 9 from the tank 7.
