PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply detach an iron core from an iron core coil structure by a machine. SOLUTION: A method for dismantling the iron core coil structure of a transformer is to detach the iron core from the iron core coil structure in which a pole of iron core is surrounded by a coil. The laminated surface of an iron core is rolled up along a direction of lamination by a rolling-up member and a thin plate is exfoliated and detached. The iron core is suspended with its laminated surface kept vertical by supporting the iron core coil structure, the laminated surface of the iron core is rolled up upward by the rolling-up member, and the thin plate is scraped off. Further, a magnet is approached or contacted to the laminated surface of the iron core and the thin plate is peeled off by the magnetic force, then a gap in the lamination direction is made between the thin plates, and the thin plate attracted by the magnet is detached by releasing the magnet from the laminated surface.
