PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of improving the precision of a consensus sequence, simply heightening the precision of a consensus sequence more than the conventional method. SOLUTION: According to this method of improving the precision of the consensus sequence, (1) the consensus sequence obtained on the basis of mRNA stored in a database and/or EST base sequence is compared with a genome sequence stored in a genome database by homology searching program.
