A windscreen wiper for motor vehicles is disclosed, comprising at least one wiper arm (3), a powered wiper shaft (4), for driving the wiper arm (3) and a bearing body (2) for mounting the wiper shaft (4). Said bearing body (2) comprises a first bearing body end (6), facing the wiper arm (3) and a second bearing body end (7), opposite the first bearing body end (6). The bearing body (2) and the wiper shaft (4) are separated from each other by a separating gap (14) in the region of the bearing body end (7) which is lower in the assembled state in order to prevent the ingress of water into the bearing body (2). Said windscreen wiper device has a particularly long service life. |
