<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve setting operability of a means for restricting the use of an image forming function, expand a use mode of a user who receives copy service, and smoothly respond to a variety of copy service agents. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a plurality of use restriction means for restricting the use of a printer section 13; a use restriction releasing means capable of operating to release an restriction operation in response to the restriction means; an operation and display means 12 for selecting the restriction means in response to a mode of image forming service; a nonvolatile memory 57 for storing setting information contents D0 to set the restriction means selected by the operation and display means 12; a program memory 56 for setting the restriction means corresponded to the mode of the image forming service, based on the contents D0; and an image control CPU 55 for controlling the printer section 13 so as to allow image forming processing, based on the operation of the releasing means for releasing the restriction operation of the restriction means set by the program memory 56. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
